Features Calaveras Big Trees State Park
Calaveras Big Trees State Park has an accessible 800 foot loop trail designed to help you learn about the plants and animals that live among the giant sequoia within a mixed conifer forest.
The trail is called the Three Senses Trail and consists of ten (10) stops that provides you with visual descriptions and evoke the senses of hearing, touching, and smelling.
The originally trail was built in 1976 as a place for visually-impaired visitors.
In 2018, it was redesigned with generous support from Arnolds Lion Club, Calaveras Big Trees Association and California State Parks.
